About

Safety

Safety is a core value at Seay Construction and just as important as quality and production. We are dedicated to providing a safe work environment for all our employees and sub-contractors and to maintaining ongoing safety programs as well as a strong commitment to accident prevention. Our safety program undergoes constant internal review incorporating regular improvement, clear expectations, and accurate assessments of progress.

Responsible actions and educated decisions are achieved through our safety system training. Safety workshops, classes and meetings are taught and reinforced at all levels. Site-specific safety is addressed before employees step foot on site. Subcontractor safety is enforced to ensure compliance. And weekly to daily meetings are led by field supervisors to address specific topics or concerns.

Our Safety Director, Buster McClendon, holds a 30-hour OSHA certification and ensures safety on each jobsite. His training and experience goes beyond OSHA compliance as he turns the latest safety innovations into advancements in policy and procedures.

Seay Construction’s safety record speaks for itself. We have maintained an injury and illness rate well below the industry standard, and our Experience Modification Rate remains low as well.
